How you are seated or the way you stand and walk spells a lot of difference especially if it concerns problems with your sciatica symptoms. In fact a bad posture is even considered as the primary cause why people suffer from this spinal condition.
You may not be aware of it but being in a seated position requires a great deal of pressure on your spine. According to studies conducted, the stress that you place in your back while sitting is six times more if compared to when you are lying down. Sadly, you have no choice but you have to be seated especially if you are at work. Unless you are seated properly, your back pains will continue to recur in spite of treatments made.
Since it is inevitable, maintaining a good sitting position is a must and everything begins with looking for a chair that has a good lumbar support. It is that part in your chair which is cushioned and found on the back rest. Accordingly, it must be able to fit snugly against your back. Nowadays, most offices have seen this as a need that they have chairs customized to ensure that employees are able to sit comfortably in order to deliver their task efficiently.

I started a new job a few months ago where I sit all day and ever since I started I have been having back pains. I don't thinks its sciatica but I didn't even think it could be from sitting. Thanks for the great article.
